Desktop effects problem
There is a problem with Training Skills 1.072 (and probobly earlies versions as well) when desktop effects (Compiz, Beryl etc) are activated in Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) and using Java 5.
Problem
The Training Skills window is not resized properly which may result in the bottom buttons to be placed to low to be reachable.
Solutions
There is two possible solutions which both should solve the problem:
-
Disable visual effects
In Feisty Fawn: System -> Settings -> Utseende -> Visuella effekter and choose the first one: none.
or:
-
Update to Java 1.6.0_03 or later
In Festy Fawn: Open an terminal and write:
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sudo update-alternatives --config java
And from the list choose the alternative containing java-6-sun
